According to the results of the Ninamedia survey for August, one-year ahead inflation expectations of the financial sector remained unchanged at 3.5%, continuing to move within the NBS target band. The financial sector’s medium-term inflation expectations also remained unchanged from the July survey, standing at the NBS target midpoint, i.e. 3.0%.
According to the results of the September Bloomberg survey, the financial sector’s short-term inflation expectations declined from 3.9% in August to 3.8% in September, which is the average level at which they have stood since the beginning of the year.
According to the August Ninamedia survey, the corporate sector’s short-term inflation expectations remained unchanged for the fifth consecutive month, standing at 5.0%, while medium-term expectations declined from 5.0% in July to 4.4% for two years ahead and 4.7% for three years ahead, continuing to move within the 4.0–5.0% range over the past year.
The short- and medium-term inflation expectations of households stood at 10% in the August survey, unchanged from the previous month.
