Payments through the NBS IPS system are available at numerous points of sale across Serbia. Merchants offering instant payment options include the Mercator S retail chain, i.e. Idea, Roda and Mercator stores; NIS Petrol, Gazprom and OMV petrol stations; Laguna and Vulkan bookstores; Tehnomanija and Tehnomedia electronics stores; Metalac market, a household goods retailer; and the Lilly chain of pharmacies and drugstores. Instant payments are also supported on the Ananas.rs e-commerce platform, as well as at many other physical and online points of sale, enabling fast and easy payments without the use of cards or cash.
On the eGovernment – ePayments portal (euprava.gov.rs), users can make instant payment of fees and charges for the services provided by the Ministry of the Interior and the Tax Administration by scanning the NBS IPS QR code displayed on the single payment slip generated through the portal.
Particular attention should be drawn to the “Prenesi” service (Transfer), which offers users the convenience of simply transferring funds from one account to another using the recipient’s mobile phone number, provided that the recipient has registered the number with their bank for this service. The list of banks providing this service is available on the Instant Payments Serbia website, under the Service Overview section. Registration for the service is very simple and can be completed quickly within the mobile banking application itself. More information about registration and other benefits is available in the NBS’s “Good to Know” section – the “Prenesi” service.
We would also like to remind citizens that accurate and timely information about instant payments and their benefits as the most modern and fastest form of payment is available on the IPS website – IPS (Instant Payments Serbia), at https://ips.nbs.rs/.
A graphical overview of data relating to the provision of payment services and the issuance of electronic money for Q2 2026 is available on the NBS website, Payment System Statistics section.
