In accordance with the prior consent of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Raiffeisen banka a.d Beograd has today become the sole owner of Credit Agricole banka Srbija a.d. Novi Sad, taking over from Credit Agricole s.a. Paris as the former owner. As a result of today’s transaction, Credit Agricole bankа Srbija has become a member of the Raiffeisen group. The joint share of the two banks in the Serbian market will be around 12%. In accordance with the procedure, the change of ownership will be registered with the Central Securities Depository and Clearing House.
By giving prior consent to the change of ownership structure, the NBS continues to support all activities aimed at ensuring stability of the overall financial sector of the Republic of Serbia.
The change of owner has no impact on the status of clients of the said bank, which for the time being continues to operate under the same business name. The contracts concluded between the bank and its clients remain in force unchanged, and the clients retain all the rights and obligations contracted with the bank.
