The Banker, a UK monthly owned by the Financial Times, with an almost one-hundred-year tradition, declared Governor Jorgovanka Tabaković the best governor in the world and the best European governor for 2020.

The mandate of Governor Jorgovanka Tabaković is recognisable not only for price and financial stability, but also the fact that such stability is a bedrock of sustainable growth and export acceleration, elevated profitability and investment, and most notably, employment growth. Inflation was lowered from double-digit levels to those comparable with advanced economies, with citizens and businesses enjoying a prolonged period of low interest rates. Headed by Governor Tabaković, the NBS has ensured and is maintaining the relative stability of the dinar exchange rate against the euro, which was instrumental in achieving low and stable inflation and having a sound financial system, despite a number of challenges generated by the global multidimensional crisis.
